The Dusklight Vanguard is an independent group of sorcerers, warriors, and craftsmen that pine for more and would seek sanctuary and camaraderie among a band of like-minded adventurers. Those with little experience or troubled pasts are as welcome as the rest, provided they too are willing to cooperate with their fellow members and aid in the upkeep of our operations.Our focus lies on aiding The Black Shroud and the rest of Eorzea in ways the Grand Companies often cannot due to red tape, legality, or apathy. We provide succor to those in need through fabulous displays of charity and defensive force, in no small part thanks to the generous benefactors that support and fund our exploits.While we are hardly beholden to our investors’ every whim, we work to keep our professional relationships on good terms in return for the financial backing. Woefully, this often manifests as menial or outlandish requests from our wealthy patrons including everything from simple guard duty to investigating rival nobility to participating in violent game shows for sport.Despite the cost of business, we find it worth the hassle so we might further pursue our own endeavors. We pride ourselves on the positive impact we have on the innocent and downtrodden of the realm, going to great lengths to ensure the safety of those unable to defend themselves. With no shortage of adventures to be had, no shortage of gil to spend on our benevolent agenda (there is a tangible limit to our coffers, pray do not wreck the estate), and no shortage of discoveries to be made across the star, we eagerly delve headfirst into the many issues facing our world in an attempt to provide solution.Recently, our focus lies upon aiding the Maelstrom with an unusual blood-related affliction. Additionally, we find ourselves embarking on a pirate-filled adventure, silencing a crazed ancient necromancer, and putting an end to an eccentric voidsent that masquerades as the twin god Nald'Thal!

The Dusklight Vanguard «Dusk» is a Shroud-based Roleplay FC with a heavy focus on characters and story. It is our goal to provide our members with fun and engaging plotlines with an emphasis on character choice and consequence. We seek to maintain a welcoming community for new and experienced RPers alike and want each and every one of our members to feel important and involved within the community!We are looking for a wide variety of members to fill our ranks from folks interested in combat and action-heavy events, to wacky shenanigans, to heavier themes and investigative work. We are lore-compliant but willing to bend regarding certain topics on a case-by-case basis, feel free to ask if you are worried about an idea being too outlandish.We do require all members both ICly and OOCly to be 18+, but do not require they be on the Mateus server to join us so long as they are in our CWLS and Discord for coordination of events. We are LGBTQ+ friendly and do not allow bullying, witch-hunting, gossip mongering or instigating OOC drama of any kind. Learn more about our rules here!
